The Mothers of Europe

May 9th marks the Europe Day. Many, among them some of the brightest and most progressive minds, talk about the “Fathers of Europe”.

No one, however, had so far talked about the “Mothers of Europe”, which offers nothing but one more evidence of how deeply and subtly patriarchy is embedded in our brains.

In that sense, I’ve found the Capital of Europe, Women of Europe initiative by the Friends of Europe and the EYL40 program in particular both thought-provoking and super-useful (and, much to my disappointment, I admit, I had no idea about Théanó!):

Be inspired by this awesome initiative, study it, share it, and of course never hesitate to debate on it, as this exactly is its purpose!
