The debut of the Hellenic Angels!

I am really thrilled to share that yesterday, Thursday April 14th 2022, marks quite a historical day for the Hellenic Angels as we have completed our first financing, the one of Swaplanet.com

I’d like to warmly thank All of the fellow angel investors who took part in this very interesting deal! It is also a very symbolic one, as it demonstrates several different aspects of our strategy:

• Co-investment with Genesis Ventures, an EIF-backed fund created exactly for the purpose of co-investing with business angels,
• Co-investment with several other early stage investors, including an impact investor from the Greek diaspora as well as a world-renowned, Israeli — American professor & investor,
• Cross-border investment, as the Cairo Angels also participate in this deal,
• Diversity / inclusion, as one of the founders is a foreigner and the founding team has a great gender balance.

It frankly could not have been better!

We’re in the very beginning of our journey, yet we can certainly be optimistic. Onwards and upwards, Hellenic Angels!
