Most founders think that access to capital is the most important factor of success for their startup.
The ugly truth is that, much as fuel is indeed necessary for a successful journey, knowing where one wants to go is far more important.
Knowledge, then, is the number one factor of success for any given startup.
That’s why the Lean Startup very rightly says that learning is the only true measure of progress.
Knowledge of who the customer is, what the need or wish, what are their alternatives and how much they would pay for your product.
Knowledge.
No knowledge, no startup.
Make sure you get to know the right things and the rest will come relatively easily.
